The scenes in the movie are also copied from the movie "one flew over the cuckoo's nest", the scene where McMurphy (Jack Nicholson) brings his girl Candy to the ward and haves party with the patients is exact copy of the scene where munna bhai (Sanjay Dutt) brings a bar dancer in the ward and the song Dekh Le happens. The scene where Jimmy Shergill dates bar dancer was exactly same as Billy dates Candy. Over all lets accept this fact that we copy movies from hollywood and get National Awards here in India
One part of the movie is copied from a 2001 Korean Comedy movie "My Boss,My Hero" where the protagonist is a gang leader and has an assistant as trustworthy as "Circuit".Suddenly he has to attend high school for some personal reasons and as a gangster faces a lot of difficulties in school.
